Trip to Italy June 2001 : A few of the more than 500 pictures taken during a one week vacation to Italy. These whirlwind trips are nice up to a point. This one took us to Rome, Venice, Lake Maggoire, Florence, and back to Rome. However, unless you want to get up at 6AM every morning, I would suggest focusing on one portion of the country at a time.

If the pictures seem a bit less than clear, they are. These were actually taken with a Sony TRV-530 Hi-8mm camcorder.

Super Bowl XXXVII Trip : In February 2003, my father won a "most expenses" paid trip to Super Bowl XXXVII (37 for those who don't want to do the Roman math). When I say most expenses, I mean the meals and rental car were on us. The trip was something I will remember always, especially given that it was 80 degrees in the shade at kick-off in San Diego and 9 degrees in New Jersey.

Kansas City royals vs. New York Yankees - June 7, 2008 : So on the first really, really hot day of the year, my parents and I headed up to the Stadium one last time to watch the Yankees. This game turned into a real barn burner in terms of the scoring. But it was really, really hot out in the upper deck. Game time temp was 93.

Rutgers Formal Gardens : Rutgers University has property on the northbound side of US Route 1 near the Ryders Lane interchange. Within this property is a nature preserve and formal gardens. The gardens are maintained by 4H and garden club members in the State of New Jersey. Nature takes care of the preserve.

The Umoja Imani Songsters - Rehearsal at St. James, Woodbridge, NJ : The Umoja Imani Songsters were founded at St. Matthias Catholic Church in Somerset, New Jersey. The Songsters were formed in 1992 out of a desire to introduce Gospel worship and Black Catholic spirituality to St. Matthias. Their music is taken from traditional Gospel, contemporary Gospel and the Black Catholic hymnal Lead Me Guide Me. They are a multi-cultural choir that brings a unique gift of Black sacred song and worship to the parish. Umoja means "unity" and Imani means "faith" in the East African Kiswahili language.
