Diocese of Metuchen Filipino Community Mass 2008 : On November 8, 2008, the Diocese of Metuchen held a Mass for the Filipino Community. This is one of several Masses held by the Diocese for various communities.

The Umoja Imani Songsters - Rehearsal at St. James, Woodbridge, NJ : The Umoja Imani Songsters were founded at St. Matthias Catholic Church in Somerset, New Jersey. The Songsters were formed in 1992 out of a desire to introduce Gospel worship and Black Catholic spirituality to St. Matthias. Their music is taken from traditional Gospel, contemporary Gospel and the Black Catholic hymnal Lead Me Guide Me. They are a multi-cultural choir that brings a unique gift of Black sacred song and worship to the parish. Umoja means "unity" and Imani means "faith" in the East African Kiswahili language. Aaron Brown is the founder and director of the Songsters.
