Well, hello!
My name is Marc C. Kollar. I'm based in two locales: Central New Jersey and South Central Pennsylvania. Currently I use Nikon DSLRs and Nikkor lenses.
A Little Backstory
In the summer of 1982, my father decided to buy himself a Canon AE1 Program 35 mm camera. As he learned to take pictures with it, I became more aware of the world around me and the images that made up the world I lived in. It was awe-inspiring to me how nature changed. I would see an image that may not be seen by someone else. My experiences in watching buildings being erected and roads being built added to my curiosity. I had always been fascinated by what I have seen. The realization that I may be seeing something others have not seen galvanized me. I became fascinated with the idea of being able to capture moments in time and share them with others.
So I took one photography course while attending Rutgers University and began to look for opportunities to take pictures. And for several years, I kept up the hobby. Unfortunately, work took over and the opportunities to take pictures on a consistent basis waned.
In 2006, with the resurgence of Rutgers Football, I decided to dedicate myself to this enjoyable hobby. So, with a new point-and-shoot camera, a Canon SD900, I started to dabble again. This time I was hooked.
With so many photos, I decided to offer them to others to view. Hence, this website.
Look around, enjoy the photos already posted and stop back to view more as I go out and enjoy the world around me. I hope these pictures will help you to find your interest in photography too!
